I have 17"s on the TT now. I have looked at several brands of rims and by selecting on my type of car, one option is 19". Now, I would love a large tire with ultra low profile rubber, but 19"'s? That sounds kind of large. Any ideas?

19's look great however tire prices are outrageous. I also think to make anything with a lower profile to fit properly and look right you need to lower the car. I personally like lowering the car first, then fitting the wheels to that stance....just me though Smiley

Meh, you an get some pretty darn good 19" tires for 140 a piece.
If you catch a good sale like Discount tire just had you could get $100 off if you buy four.
If youre gonna do it, do it right the first time.  19's  w/ coilovers  thumbsup
Show me some good 19" for that price and I will buy some.....not some junk Kuhmo or suminuto crap either  Grin

I use to sell tires is why I say that. Falkens 452's are probably the best on that list you posted, however I've only been moderately satisfied with mine thus far. I actually like the cheaper BFG Gforce sports much more. I personally didn't like the excstas either, they were very noisy and had soft side walls. Never had any general experience, but......they could be good, I really don't know. Those Nitto's are ok, I have a set of the Neogen's in storage and they are ok as well, yet again the cheaper BFG's I liked better to those as well. I base all of this off of autoX, curvy roads, and long trips. But this is just one persons opinio, doesn't count for much Smiley I usually get about 10,000 miles out of a set of tires. So about 2 sets a years because I do a lot of driving.....oh another tire I loved was the Toyo's....ok, end/

A lot of people rave about the Kuhmo ECSTA's.
Great tire for a great price.
Ive also heard positive things about the General Exclaim UHP, Nitto INVO, and the Falken 452.
When going up 1" in size their really isnt going to be a huge different in tire price.
I'd suggest putting some money into a good tire because without being able to transfer your power/agility to the ground you wont be able to fully enjoy what your car has to offer.
Personally im leaning towards the Contisport3's.
They have the XL load rating that I need and ive heard they're just a step up in performance from my current Conti's.

DONT GET CONTINENTAL TRIES! i have them now, and they are the WORST tires i have ever driven on, no traction, and they are noisy.

What model Continental Tires do you have Chris?  My guess is an all season but I could be wrong.  All tire companies make different tires for different applications. To try one tire and say they all suck is kind of ignorant...even if they do suck.

That is pretty much the general nature of the normal all season tire.  Most all seasons, unless otherwise denoted, are meant for your average driver that doesn't even know what they are driving lol.  I believe it is because they make the tire to last a ridiculous amount of miles, and to do that they need a very hard rubber that will not wear as quickly as others, at the expense of grip at the limit.  Most performance tires I have driven on (my cars and others) have been quite loud to.

I will say that I love my buddies tires.  I believe they are some kind of Kumho performance all season tire.  I will get the actual name of them for tonight hopefully.

I have Conti 2's for the summer and they're great.
Can't say one bad thing about them.
I've heard good things about those. They might be next on my list of tires to get.
