idk why you would want one, theres all high-maintance, old. and now slow cars.  I was about 2 buy a 944 turbo, check how much it costs to get a new timing belt/water pump on a 944 turbo, installed, then check how much the special tool costs that you need to do a timing belt.  THEN check how much it costs to put a clutch in one, including labor of dropping basicly the whole rear of the car.  Yes there nice, and fastish, but there also big black holes arhgggh! happy my friend got the 944 and not me!

i also wanted a 944 or 928 but after researching them for about 18 months i decided to buy my e30. I wanted to have a car that i would be able to enjoy not just maintain. The porsche guys are doing like 3k a year in maintenance to keep those cars running. I will pass on that.

You spend 1 to 2k on maintenance a year or on mods? How much do you drive? I have an 02' E320 4matic and have had to do very little to it. Oil every 10k, tire onces, and a set of tie rods. The car has been very cheap to own actually.
