no comment (you don't want to hear my comments)... it's all about personal preference, but lets not compare a mini to a volvo s80

... nore/eric we should post a thread comparing the 2 on NAM haha.

i am NOT willing to get banned on NAM over ford  nuff said

Well mine is electronically limited to 130, it could go faster, no doubt, if I chipped it the limit would be higher.

But yeah... we don't need to get into a Mini vs. S80 war...

o if its an auto? could that make a difference i heard that stick r faster?? unless u ahve like 1000hp supra then auto is better but yah what ur guys in put say these guys had a high way run would the mini say in second gear beat the volve bc can the volvo be in  one gear and stay in it to make boost?

It's Tiptronic, so I can sorta shift... enough to put in in 2nd, then launch from there.

It's technically a Volvo post-Ford (Ford Bought in 1998, car was made in 1999) but I'm not sure if Ford had been there long enough to have a great enough influence to take effect, if any. I've been told that Ford doesn't make decisions for Ford, but who the hell knows who's telling the truth anymore. I say it's still a Euro.

A lot of people underestimate Volvos, most of them are reasonably fast.

Recently my dad had a loaner '07 Volvo S40 from the dealer, I looked in the manual and about 95% of the parts were from outside the U.S. Engine from Sweden, transmission from Japan, and I don't specifically remember anything else. Yeah they're owned by Ford, but so is Mazda, Jaguar, and Land Rover.

Yeah, I didn't know Mazda was owned by Ford too, I knew about Jag and Land Rover.

They used to own Aston Martin until early 2007.

ford owns like 33% of mazda but you can still find FoMoCo on every engine part.
