Such a slow piece of junk. I don't know who the lol would buy one. It's slow, small, and doesn't even get great mileage(33/41). For the price(12k-18k) you can get a MUCH better commuter car that gets ALMOST as good mileage, such as my g6 my dad got for 14k out the door, it gets 23/35, although I've average 40 on long trips. The g6 as an example comes with 4 doors and 5 seats instead of a tiny 2 door 2 seat coupe that is slower then heck. I was scared merging on the highway, and the manumatic with paddle shifters barely worked

Yeah... really easy to park in tight spots... this is where only Driver error limits where you can park, and this driver had tons of errors, first thing that he got his license... apparently this is one sport that it cannot fit in...

Ok, let me start off by saying that you're an idiot.   Thumbs Down  The car isn't made for commuting from the suburbs...it is made for people who live in the city.  It gets great city mileage, is easy to park, is very safe for a tiny car, and has removable plastic body panels that are easily replaced if damaged.  It isn't supposed to be fast, it is supposed to be safe and economical.  I would continue to tell you how you are wrong, but since you think a G6 is comparable, even superior, clearly having this discussion with you is not worth my time.  Oh, and you are on CRACK if you think you are getting 40mpg in ANY Pontiac.  I have had a few G6's as rental cars and they are terrible...perhaps the biggest pieces of sh!t I have ever driven.  It is no mystery to me why American automakers are in dire straits.

On the other hand, the Smart car I rented in London was perfect for the environment.  It got great gas mileage in congested traffic, was tiny and easy to manuever on small streets, fit in parking spaces that only motorcycles could fit in, had plenty of room inside, and was fun to drive...like a go-kart with a radio.  What more could you want if you lived in the city and had to fight for street parking?  Oh, and it will do 90mph on the freeway.

Seriously, you guys should move to the city. Then you will see why these will do well.

Look at the competition. The Mini (much higher price for a city car), the Yaris (seriously, come on now), Hyundai Accent (nice redesign, but the yuppies want Euro).

I am surprised it took this long to introduce the car to the US market.
