So today our family said good-bye to an old friend that we have known for the last 2 years. We now have a new friend in the family. We are the proud owners of an 04' X5 3.0. The Mercedes was very good to us and I really did enjoy the car. My wife on the other hand said she felt like an old lady and really didnt like to be seen in it. The X5 is much sportier and has a ton more room for the kids. I took the picture just a bit ago and it looks like crap but I wanted to get it posted tonight. This is really a very clean E53 with quite a few options on it. I was hoping for a 4.4 but could not find one that was in my price range at a dealer that didnt want to out right steal my Benz from me.

yeah third row seating is why I bought the car in the first place. We never really used it. I would haul the whole family around but then there was never room for our stuff so we just got in the habbit of taking two cars anyways.

Congrats. Hey how wide are the rear tires on the X5. Whenever i see them on the road the look wide as hell.

mine are 235/65/17 but the 18" wheels came with 255/50/18 tires

They both look good Jim. Im torn, I like the wagon, and conversely I am not a big fan of suv's. But the X does look very cool.

Are we going to get the spring e30 project off the ground next month?

We are going to have to see what the extent of the project is. I kind of just spent my E30 suspension money on the X5. Lets just say my wife won this time Roll Eyes

. I know I will still be doing control arms and tie rods but may be able to scrape money for springs and shocks as well. I will keep you in the loop I will know more Thursday when I get my bonus check.
