TO add to this month I had the turbo fairy visit me today. Not 100% gone. But soon, very very soon... Started blowing blue smoke this afternoon.
Earlier this month... Speeding ticket for 70 in 55... First ticket in 3 years.
Friday, found out that my DSM had been towed and the bill would be $1300 to get out, increasing by $40/day
Saturday, 2:40AM S4 was towed by tow company contracted thru apt. complex due to the fact that my sticker (static cling) fell off the window. They towed the car on a flatbed, but it was pulled up a steep embankment... The chain pushed up on the rear bumper, cracked some paint (in 3 spots) and misaligned the bumper. The front got scuffed BAD on the front as well, and messed up the grille inserts on the bottom. It was $150 to get out of the tow yard. And I was late for work by 3 hours, and my fiancee was 2 hours late (cuz we only had the one car to drive). After I got the car back I took it right home and parked it. We started off to work and about a mile down the road I get pulled over by the "scum of the earth" cops in the area (other cops think they're trash, too) for "tailgating"... That's a $75 fine. I finally get to work and have to work outside all day, forgot sunscreen and got sunburnt.
Sunday, found a squirrel decided to bunk up on my balcony... while I was cooking dinner on the balcony.
Today, I get a call from my fiancee while I'm in class... There were $300 in spending on my bank card WHILE I WAS IN CLASS at some grocery stores about 20 miles towards the city (I never go TOWARDS the city)... So we get the card canceled, and find out it can take at least 30 days but up to 90 to get refunded.
This evening: I decide to try and take my mind off things so I go out fishing a few miles from the apt at a local park. As I park the car I let the turbo timer run and all the sudden it starts shuddering. A LOT. I get out of the car and see nothing but blue smoke. You can figure out the rest from there...

Sorry to hear all the bad news. I know how you feel. My month has not been much better. Hopefully things will take a turn for the better for the both of us.

ya sorry to hear that man. pretty much the same story for me. This month has been terrible, This last weekend was the worst weekend in my life. Wont get into details but the whole day Saturday from 12am Saturday to 11:59pm was pure hell.
To quickly outline my month...
buy an e30, spent 1 week working on it. Insure it, title it... only to be hit two days later. Cop is stupid and decides to put us both at fault. (Liability only for the e30 so big loss there)
Meet some guy on the beach with 350z who asks me if i ever got pulled over for tints or no front plate. Said no, and the next week got pulled over 3 times for no front plate, tints, and exhaust. (once during my tune) Managed to get a bunch of warnings and two $25 tickets.
This weekend sucked...
And this month a ton of money was spent since i had my new turbo put on ,(with all supporting mods) and a new clutch. $$$$
Summer better bring luck to me.

ill go ahead and agree.... i just got back from court for a "unlawful amount of passengers in the car" ticket.....im fairly certain that law doesnt exist because they just gave me a seatbelt fine which is total bullshit because im not responsible for the passengers in the back seat wearing their seatbelt
its only a 55$ fine but i had to drive 2 hours there and 2 hours back and take off a day of school and miss a test that earns me college credit....that i now have to make up tommarow..

Actually you are. Im looking at a warning i have right now and one of the citations on it is seat belts for rear passengers (i didn't get it, its a place he can make it though). I can scan it if you want for proof. Just letting you know, yes you are responsible. The driver is always responsible for all of the passengers in his/her car.

http://illinoiseuro.com/forum/index.php?topic=1349.0I had pics of the DSM up before. It's a POS. You're responsible for everyone in your car. And IL sucks, in OH you can ride in the back seats of a vehicle with NO belt on, period. And today another charge was posted to my bank account... $83.01 at a Shell, the moron can't even pump gas. That should be the nail in the coffin for them I hope. They have the exact time and pump for the transaction, and every pump has a camera nowadays. Oh, yesterday my fiancee's foot was literally run over by a car at her work.

I don't see why requiring seatbelt is stupid. They save lives, and for the people saying that they also kill people, don't you think that if you are gonna die in a crash because of a seatbelt that you are gonna die either way? I mean come on...

It's been found that in most vehicles with lap belts as opposed to 3 point the lap belt causes more harm than good. And most cars rear seats (at the time) had only lap belts.

Thats different then, i dont drive a car w/ any lap belts (3 SUV's) so they are all 3 point, so i guess i just am not used to them, but yeah i do agree with you on the lap ones only they are pointless.

i dont think many people argue that seatbelts are more harm than good i think you are thinking of airbags...which is a completely different topic... i agree about the seatbelts i always wear mine. However i do not believe you are responsible for people in your backseat if they have a drivers liscence...unless this law changed in the past year. the spot on your citation is probably for having someone in the back under 16 or without a liscence. this is all i could find on the seat belt laws .... http://www.dmv.org/il-illinois/safety-laws.php

Nope, it doesnt have an age range its anyone over the age of 8 (there are different spots for people under that). And also, no some people do say that even 3 point seatbelts are more harm than good.
