One can get a FULLY loaded one for ~23 or so. What do you guys think of them? Not getting the wrx or sti as my dad thinks they're too fast.

i would not recomend that car.....only the sti has all the sweet differential stuff do you think that added feature would be enough to sway your dad? you know its safer, better in the snow, help you not be late to class........
the only problem is it says 305hp right on the sticker lol.....
id go with a different AWD car i agree they are kinda ugly im really picky with which hatches i like though....would your dad pony up for an AWD audi?

An AWD audi is a bit out of the price range. I'm surprised he'd be willing to get me this nice of a car, let alone an audi or something. And an used audi in tha tprice is out the question, he bought an used 750i 15 years ago that was a complete lemon and now refuses to buy used, let alone an used german car known for expensive maintenence and reliability issues.

Sounds rediculously fun, but sounds like at the same time it would be asking for epic trouble. I'm not looking for a race car, I'm looking for a reliable AWD vehicle to get me up and down the mountains with ease. I'm looking at the outback now

Out of those, I'd definitely go with the Audi A3 and possibly consider the Tiguan if you're thinking about something bigger. The rest of them are cars I would never drive.
Can you get a new A3 for your price range though??? I know Tiguans are pretty cheap.
