Just picked it up last night. Ran into some trailer problems so we got home later than expected. Car's about 20 miles from the house, and the dub is out of commission ATM due to busted steering rack boot and wheel speed sensor so I can't go work on it Cry Couldn't get pictures in the dark either.

What I know about the car
12A motor
5 speed
needs battery
new alternator
been sitting for 10 years (but ran when parked)

The car was GIVEN to me by my uncle. It has on it some lightweight wheels he used for auto-xing that have some super soft tires, auto-x helmet, front stress bar, rear stress bar, 4 point harness (but tires are dry rotted from sitting for 10 years outside) BUT he gave me factory wheels with good tires on there that were sitting in his workshop. He never drove it on the road, it doesn't have a title so I'll need to apply for a new title for the vehicle. Other than that I am HOPING that after a new battery and quick clean of the engine bay she fires right up!

I'll get pics as soon as I can get up there.

9k RPM HERE I COME!!!

My guess is you are gonna run into some fuel problems.  10 year old gas likes to turn to varnish.

Know any way to help with that? The varnished fuel is more like a gel, no? So I already plan on rebuilding the carb. Would I have to replace the fuel lines as well? Or could I just dump some "sea foam" in there and see how that works?

I can also drain the gas tank...

Well I just dealt with a motorcycle that had been sitting for 10 years plus and I had to rebuild the carbs completely with all new jets and gaskets and floats.  Replaced all the fuel lines and had to drain and flush the tank several times.  Also went through two fuels filters to get out all the crap.

Hopefully you will get lucky and just have to put fresh gas in.

OUCH. I hard the carb half off last night, but it was dark and we were trying to put it in it's final spot... BUT it looked clean, and the fuel in the lines looked clean (still the light yellow) and also moved easily when I moved the fuel lines around. I'm going to try and go the sea foam method to start with... add 2 gallons of gas, a full bottle of sea foam, and spray carb cleaner in the carb.

I know it's completely different but my grandpa bought a Farmall antique tractor that had been sitting for ~15 years. He put some marvel mystery oil in the fuel and she fired up. hopefully it will work the same way

Your plan sounds logical. Start with the simple method first and work down. I love the first gen 7's. There are two 85's for sale in my area, both under $5k. My wife would divorce me if brought another project home. Do post some pics when you get them.

*Caution: crappy cell phone pics...

Spot where it sat for ~10 years

On the trailer to the spot where I'll be working on it... That Denali has a lot of cool features (100% fully loaded), but the back seats are SOOOO uncomfortable.

Some other added info...

The lightweight wheels are Craigers.
The front tires on the Craigers are shot, but the rears hold air (these are the auto-x tires)
There's a BEEF lower anti sway bar up front.
The car is FULL of spare parts, window regulators, extra windows, coils, plugs, plug wires, shocks, intake manifold, header, etc etc

After I get it running I'm going to grind away the surface rust and krylon the entire car. Anyone have any suggestions?
