Hey guys i dont know if you guys got hit by this huge storm that just passed over chicago. the North Shore did and we got pounded hard. i think the wind got up to 70+ and there were huge walls of water just falling from the sky. it was kinda cool. well anyway a few of the trees in our house got pwned hard. and i thought i would share some damage shots.

the trunk of our willow tree that just got blown over was probably 7 feet wide. the storm was crazyyy jawdrop

the rest of the pics are on here if u wanna see(http://s226.photobucket.com/albums/dd182/notochord_2007).

did anyone else get hit by the storm?

I drove my dad to Ohare, when the 1st storm came through. On my way home almost every side street was flooded in Park Ridge and Niles. I jumped onto my side street to get home and thank god i was in my dads new Toyota Tundra, the whole street was flooded all the way to the houses!!! Easily almost 2 feet of water... Fun drive seeing the little cars trying to get through when i was in a hugh pickup lol Just got home now..

It wasn't a bad ride from Glendale Heights to Chicago except for multiple signal lights being down.  Took almost two hours to get and it's normally a 45 minute drive.

its still kinda raining here. today was our first day of school, and i didnt have class during the last period of the day, so i walked home. luckily i got to my house about 5 minutes before it started to rain, thank god. everyone else at my school had to wait for an hour and a half before they could leave Grin.

anyway i saw the pine and the trees falling down and it was kinda scary.

Here is a stiched together pnorama of the second storm. The first one flipped my cedar Adirondack chair across the patio. (weighs about 30 pounds). Otherwise no damage thank God.

My friends and I got stuck in a Wendy's on Touhy. The power went out and they locked all the doors on us for some reason. Outside the wind was so bad it was making little waves of water in the roads.

I wish I took some pictures of the sky. Around 7:30 in Highland Park everything was orange and not raining. But there was lightning all over the place and floods and you could see waves of storms coming towards you. I was driving north on 41 and it was bright straight ahead but when I looked behind me it seemed like it was midnight. Crazy weather recently.
