Ah, air brush, no i do not have one, i just use spray cans

the small bits of body work are going into paint in a hour or so, still have a bit of prep work.

i'm using Duplicolor automotive paint for my models. it gives it a nice shine.

HERE IT IS!!! THE FINISHED CAR!!!

overall it was a pain in the a$$ to build this kit, most of the parts didnt fit right and needed custom cutting and fab work, and the body has 5 coats of paint to get the bright color out of it.

about 1 month of work, i'm happy that it is finally done!

if anyone has questions on ow i did what, just ask. Wink

So if the parts didnt fit right, was it a case of a poorly created kit? Have you dealt with this company before?

a couple of parts were "over cast" and just needed to be trimmed down to fit right. its no problem with the company, Fujimi is a very respectable model company.

even on your BMW 6 i built, it needed alot of work to get the parts to fit right.

That six is custom, ALL bimmers need special care. Tongue

I remember when I used to build military stuff. I dont recall ever trimming things to make them fit. I used to trim things to add battle damage, but the tamaiya (sp?) were good kits.

Tamiya is the correct spelling, you just added an extra "a"

those are good quality kits.

and when i said alot of trimming, it was pretty much just cleaning the edges from the little hair like bits of plastic that were from the molds

to you probably not significant, to me it needs to be perfect and thus alot of trimming and prep work. Grin
