Anyone into ProRally?

I drove down south eastern Ohio on sunday in the mkIII (wanted to do it in the S4, but the half shaft broke 1/4 of the way there) to the hills of the Appalachians. Back in the day they used to run a ProRally starting at sundown and it would usually run until a little after sunup in and out of dense forests and on paved, grave, loose grave and even dirt roads, well I ran part of this course. I've driven down to the Dragon 2x now from Chicago (a 10 hour drive one way) and back, but I have never been as exhausted as I did that day. The directions are vague which is the point, and the roads are narrow and tricky and I ran this during the DAY and no where near flat out like these ProRally guys did.

Well yesterday, the day after I ran the course I got word from my boss that he is bringing back his ProRally car and is going to run it this year at least at this event. And he asked me to be one of two of his rally service guys. I'm pumped... He hasn't run his car in ProRally for 2 years and we need to get it conditioned again along with him.

I'll post up pictures later, but for those of you that know these cars have to be 100% street legal including having an operational CAT. His car is a mkII GTI shell with a B3 Passat 2.0L 16V with heavy modifications (schrick intake manifold and cams, high CR, etc) and also the B3 Passat syncro conversion to be run syncro but since he doesn't have the license to run AWD yet we're only running it FWD but with fully independent suspension.

Sorry I'm no story teller but I'm excited, I just woke up, and I have to leave for work in a few.
