Shifty

He claims he cannot drive the honda because its manual.

Please dont post a bunch of CL links, or other links unless you know the person. I'll do the searchs myself. I just want to know if anyone here knows of a car that they would trust for their kid.

Oh, it it must be CHEAP! REAL Cheap. I dont care if its multi-color, 30 years old, whatever. It has to be an automagical.

I have tried for two weeks, he absolutely refuses, he bounces the car all over the place and more than being a hardass which I have done the past, I would rather get a slushbucket so he doesnt kill himself or someone else. Hell, I already took the qualude over this morning. The TT gets a break from DD duties for now.

I got a '98 a4 as my first car and really loved it. But now I'm in the south for college and I'm going up against some huge pickups and other muddin' kinda SUVs and its a lil scary at times but other than that I'd highly suggest an a4 but I will warn you to look out for the dreadded 80k miles. About then u gotta look to replace a lot of stuff. Other than that the car has been really great and reliable not too bad in the snow either!

You should be able to find an early 90s Grand-Am/Grand Prix or Chevy Cavalier to do the trick quite well IMO.

I am guessing price range is 0-1500 bucks.

I am kinda getting attached to it myself. The bimmer and TT are getting some vacation time.

DC, I found an older grand am and let it go (kicking myself in the ass now). I'll keep the qualude and drive it till it dies.

Per a reminder from DC, I was able to secure a car for #1 son. He is the proud owner of a 1994 crown vic. Complete with a slush box.

Thanks for all the updates folks.

I still have a honda for sale now. Im not gonna keep it for another daily driver. At this point, I have 8 cars I own now between my wife and I.

I paid $600 for it. I had the clutch tightened up, that wasnt free. I also put a new battery in it. I am willing to eat those costs and sell it for what I paid $600. Let me know if you want to have a look.
