http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/30/first-drive-classic-design-concepts-group-2-widebody-challenger/

The Challenger SRT8 marked the official return last year of the musclecar to the Dodge lineup, and its retro styling, 425-horsepower V8 and tire-shredding capabilities had Mopar enthusiasts giddy with excitement. What, you say, could be much better? Enter Classic Design Concepts. The Novi, Michigan-based company has been adding its visual touch to cars since 1990, and recently tried its hand at Dodge's new musclecar. The result? The Group 2 Widebody Challenger that made its debut at SEMA in 2008. We were instantly smitten with the car's aggressive appearance on the show floor, and were determined to get a closer look if we ever had the chance. Jumping forward a couple of months, we recently learned that the car would be out in Southern California for a Mopar gathering. A phone call to CDC later and we were fortunate enough to land an afternoon behind the wheel of this 575-horsepower bona fide modern musclecar.

pssssh you wanna see lip? see it on a car that isn't supposed to have it. just like it wasn't supposed to have 400whp and be daily driven (and just like is isn't supposed to have 600whp and be daily driven but it will)

(the widebody kit is still in fabrication stage)

is that going to be a dragster? or a corner carver? asking because by the numbers, it looks like it might try to challenge ABF Performance's Mini Cooper S for the quickest and fastest Mini in the world title.

My buddy is the A in ABF. He's doing a very similar engine but with a change in the intake manifold among other things to produce a streetable car that happens to be able to hold its own in a drag. He's going to be running 295/35-18 rubber on those by the way.

Nah just a Giant killer. In its previous form it reportedly could smoke Lambos. Its getting 200 more hp and the rubber to handle it.

Yeah but why the Xtreme wide rubber? At some point that becomes a detrement to speed. I mean a lambo's center of gravity is WAY lower than the mini, thus, corning is no comparison. Mind you I am not a lambo fan boy, just wondering why the ENORMOUS amount of rubber.

I'll try to find the specs on the ABF drag car. The drag car uses 15 or 16" fronts iirc. The blue car will be running 18"s because they're sexy and its a street car. Not going to be running full slicks or anything (probably something close though.

 Roll Eyes

First off it's ass ugly.

Second off no duh it'll beat a lambo in a straight line, lambo's are not made to be driven straight.
