Given that was at night, how long did you expose (exposure laking proper term here) the film (I know it digital) to get that.

In the olden days with my ancient SLR I would tripod it, and use the manual exposure feature to hold the lens open long enough to capture things in weak lighting. Im sure you know what Im talking about, I hope.

I had the tripod set up in the passenger seat of my car, with the window rolled down. Using a remote release, the shutter was opened for 67 seconds at f/8. It was absolutely pitch black where I was sitting. The only thing that exposed the image was the light from the lightning.

67 seconds?  Shocked

Wow, if you can recall, when those flashes appeared, about how long did they last? Surely not th ewhole 67 seconds.

It seems to be perfect though, just enough ambient light to make it look spooky.
