I am reposting from another board (ET), BUT we needed a First Post Here...

I had previously installed the the first 4 items below, however the Bose system did not like the new head unit and would consistenlty fade or sound bad. The ground was also problematic and would whistle in all gears if the volume was too low.

My solution was to rip out everything and completely rewire the car. Project was just recently completed and the sound is very nice.

Part List:

1.) Kenwood DDX 6019 Double Din Head Unit

2.) Kenwood KNA-G510 (Garmin Navigation)

3.) Kenwood KCA-IP500 (IPOD Interface)

4.) Kenwood BT-100 (Bluetooth Interface)

5.) Polk MOMO MMC5250 Component Door Speakers (2 Sets, as all doors have a separate Tweeter & Speaker)

6.) JL Audio 12" W3V2 Sub

7.) Custom Sealed Box built by Showtime Audio in Chicago

8.) Alpine MRP-M450 MONO 400W RMS Amplifier (Sub Amp)

9.) Alpine MRP-F450 4-Channel 100W RMS x 4 Amplifier (Door Amp)

10.) Custom Amplifier Board built by Showtime Audio in Chicago

11.) Monster 300 Series Amplifier Power Kit 500 Watts

12.) Monster 200 Series Power Distribution Block

13.) Monster 402 XLN Extreme 2 Channel Subwoofer RCA Cable (5 meters)

14.) Monster 404 XLN Extreme 4 Channel Door Speakers RCA Cable (5 meters)

15.) 100 Feet 16 Gauge Speaker Wire (door wire)

16.) 6 feet 12 Gauge Speaker Wire (Sub)

I believe I paid $225 - 100 Box & 125 Rack (honestly not exactly sure, but this is close). I could have gotten this done for less, but their work is really top quality. If you are planning on getting a box, don't buy off the shelve boxes. They are never sealed right and that is why they are cheap. A custom box will always sound tighter and also be properly sized for your sub of choice.

My box has multiple angles to fit perfectly to the contour of my Trunk and the Amp board is also perfectly cut to the car (which makes it appear to be almost stock).

i used the same amp as you(the smaller one). 100 for the box seems pretty good because i paid about 80 for all the materials. and i think i kinda got ripped off on the fiber glass, but i guess thats what i get for going to a sailing store to buy it.
