My car is running mid to low 15s in the quarter mile but the g-tech said 1g in the skid pad with RE 01R's. I would like to see the numbers with R-comps.

You would be too fast on R-comps Wink It's so not fair! You can try mine if we ever go to an auto-x together or if you come to the track with us sometime.

I got ya in the 1/4 though Wink I'm hoping for 11s this year on pump gas with my new clutch and software.

I'm game for a Gingerman event. I was thinking of trying to get something together through Audizine. I have yet to Autox the Audi, I'm worried that my spool time might kill me on the short runs. I need some straights to pull through hehe.

Jay and Cousingranps, what suspension and sways are you guys running? I've got the H&R race and grooved billies with stock sways. It feels very soft to me, just trying to judge and compare to see what I might need to do for this coming season of fun. I really want to do sways. Oh, I suppose I do have a set of Koni coilovers that might go on as well.....depends if I put 17's on the car, if so then I will be going a tad lower to compensate for the gap.

I do Gingerman several times a year. Good track for you to learn on and get your feet wet on a track.

As far as suspension...I've got Vogtland C/O's, stock front sway(front S4 sway is plenty IMHO) and a Neuspeed 19mm rear set on stiff. You may also want to look at brakes if you don't have them already...I recommend Alcon's   Wink

I've got the A8 upgrade and a set of tracks pads and rotors so I don't kill my dailies. Does the S4 front work on the A4?

I've actually been looking at the nuespeed rear lol, funny to hear you guys have it. Thoughts on it?

I think they were just talking about Auto-Xing in general, not a specific event, and how they have their cars setup. If you really want to make an Auto-X event , do some searching and try to find a place that would host it and then how much it would cost, then post the info for all of us to gauge interest.

I know I would be in.

Not to sound like a jerk or conceded but I'm not comfortable or feeling safe to get on an open track with persons who have never  done it. I know there's always a beginner, but non-the-less, it makes me nervous when you are going in a turn and the guy in front of you is all over the place or behind you and doesn't brake in time....I go to Putman twice a year with a group of Li scened drivers and I'm the noob to them and make them uncomfortable and I have at least 10 track days under my belt.  I would feel much better if we did a test and tune event so some of the folks who have never driven a course can get a better idea of what to do. I know CVO has a sanctioned event. Maybe I will get in with them for their Gingerman run which usually happens around October if I recall. I think they use the TireRack track as well. I've read in the local paper that they are looking locally to build a road course in my neck of the woods. I hope this is true and will happen with in the next few years. It will give me the excuse to build the open wheels racer I have been wanting to do for years.

Audi club uses the tire rack for it's first & last auto-x, tire rack is not a full track but a auto-x sized track. For track days check out both CVO & Audi. Audi is going to blackhawk in July I think.
