Can we the regular members provide some support financially for the site? Lets discuss what we can do to make this a shared burden as it were.

I for one am not against commercial sponsorship to eliminate costs, that would keep it free for members.

What we do need is more members obviously so spread the word. If we have any printers in the group or know any I'd like to get generic business cards made up for the group as a whole to hand out to euro owners. I worked in a print shop for years so i can do the pre-press work (the most expensive part of a print job) myself.

Also if everyone could try to keep an eye out for potential meet spots, talk to restraunt owners about drive in shows etc. that would be good as well.

Lets have a quick get together ... REAL soon here and draw up some business cards. Something for the group. Then, let me take care of getting them printed.

I'll leave the money up to Adam to answer since he got the domain not sure who is hosting either.

Right now the logo is 2-color but I can do it all black to save $ on printing. lets brainstorm some short line of text like a tag line to put on the cards.

layout I was thinking was:
logo
tagline
website

something real simple like "The online community for all European makes"
We could do a downloadable template file for members to print their own cards too (set up for Avery micro perf cards or something).

I'll let the three of you figure out the structure and content of the cards as it should be. The right side of my brain , the creative one doesnt seem to work recently.

Well, this is certainly a nice gesture, and a great idea for a thread.

I have already personally covered the cost of the hosting as well as the domain.
Like Eric (silverbullit) I have also had quite a bit of experience with business cards as I owned a web design company, but I also did all their art work for everything - business cards, flyers, brochures, and whatever else they might have needed.

Business cards are really cheap now days with the advent of the internet - you can literally order them online with no human interaction as it is completely automated, and that helps to keep the cost down.

I have been using "overnightprints.com" for many years, and the prices are great too.

As far as anyone pitching in, I have not even thought of this yet. I actually planned on covering all the cost involved whether its business cards, decals, or next years hosting and domain cost.

I might be able to cave in and take donations if you guys make me - but I will not fall easily - lol
