So, I was hit last spring in the right rear door by some hit and run most likely in my high school lot. The damage looks like it slightly continues past the door onto the right rear area, but it's not very noticable. I took it to A&L and he said i'd need a whole new door basically and some repair to the panels, etc on the inside, anyways the total came out to like $1500. I could definitely use a new paint job right now, so I was wondering if my insurance would also be willing to cover that along with the repairs from the hit and run? If somehow I got them to believe that I would need a bigger area of the car painted to make it look good again would they possibly just paint the whole car?
The thing is I'd rather not have my rates go up and have to pay a $500 deductable for the right rear door because it's really not THAT noticable. I've been looking into finding a door itself, but haven't had much luck. I would, however, be willing to pay the $500 and extra money monthly if it came with a fresh paint job
Anyone have any ideas?
