Hey guys,
As some of you may know or not know I am putting a new engine in the RX7 this weekend. I had the engine built at Pettit Racing who builds all the American Le Mans Rotary Mazda engines. I had this bad boy built bullet proof style. Cam himself built the engine from ground up. It has Isuko 3mm Ceramic Apex Seals and a half bridge port. Also comes with a 30,000 mile warrenty which is kick ass. When I received the engine I was expecting somethign between 200-250lbs but no this bad boy only weighs 130 POUNDS! lol I love it!

Anyways we are hoping to make 550hp out of this engine with the current GT35/40R turbo thats on there and next spring hit around 600hp-650hp on a GT40R. As you can see the engine is painted black and red just like the car so once we have the current block out the car will go back into paint for a nice gloss black spray in the engine bay. Then it will come back to Naperville where we will install the new block.

Anyways I will document the build over the next two weeks and keep updating this post. Please feel free to comment and if your interested in coming down and helping us pull the block or install the new one either this weekend or next please feel free! We will have a few people from around Chi-town helping us the entire time. Thanks for reading!

hehe thats no shell. It has a block in it right now that I am pulling out. I am strictly doing this to upgrade the power output of my engine. I didn't want to push 17-20psi on a stock engine. This should get me where I want to go.
